Photograph of a man in an easy chair in front of a fireplace in a rather baronial home, identified as being "Newtown Square, December, 1939". Probably a photograph of the young soldier on 2021.44.01 at a later time in his life. The pictures are stored togher and are equally faded.

22 B&W photographs of cars from the Red Arrow Trolley Line in Delaware County. Most are from 1960 -1970, but one is from June 6, 1954, the final trip on the West Chester Line, stopped at Broomall on Route 3. The Line was closed then and the highway improved to 4 lanes in many place. The trolleys were replaced by a bus line.
There are also three color photographs of Septa cars.

A collection of thirtynine
photographs of men, four to an album page, who were members of a social group calling itself " The Improved Order of Red Men", taken in the early 20th century. The group wore home-made Indian costumes at meetings, DCHS has a small collection of their clothing, but these photographs are of men in coat and tie. The photos identify the men as members of the Itaska Tribe. According to Wikipedia, Itaska are a genuine tribe, located in Indiana and Illinois, but this group is grown white men playing Indian and today would be considered inappropriate.

A photograph dated June, 1965, of Princess Christina of Sweden, signing the visitor's book at DCHS. She had made a royal visit to the sites of New Sweden, including the grave of that famous Swede, John Morton, signer of the Declaration of Independence, and she stopped by the Historical Society as well.
