A laminated photograph, probably from The Daily Times, of Edna Sweely of the DCHS displaying an American flag made by Mrs. Harlan Miller and her neighbors of the Shoemakerville section of Chester. The 35 star flag made sewn in honor of the "Chester Blues", the volunteers from Chester to fight in the Civil War. It flew for the first time April 24, 1862 as the men boarded the train for boot camp.
